Bristol, TN City Council now accepting applications for vacant seat

The Bristol, Tennessee City Council is now accepting applications for its vacant seat following this month’s resignation of Mayor Mark Hutton. Completed applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, Sept. 25 to be considered. State law and the city’s charter establish certain eligibility requirements to serve on City Council and may be asked to consent to a background/criminal history check and/or provide additional information to verify their eligibility. Eligible applicants must reside within the city’s east district.
