Third highest revenue month reported for Bristol Hard Rock

Its the third-highest revenue month for The Bristol Hard Rock casino, posting an adjusted gross revenue of $22.3 million in August. The AGR represents the amount remaining after the casino pays out winning bets. In the case of Virginia casinos, AGR is then taxed, with 6% of the total going into a “regional improvement commission” for the host city. In the case of Bristol’s casino, the commission actually covers 12 counties and the cities of Bristol and Norton sharing the proceeds, which must be used for education, transportation and public safety projects. The RIC funds since the casino opened in July 2023 total $35.4 million.
