Suspect shot by Johnson City officers in January indicted after TBI investigation

A man shot by Johnson City officers in January has been indicted by a grand jury following a TBI investigation.
An agency report said Robert Hodson, 21, was served in the Washington County Detention Center with three counts of aggravated assault – use or display of a deadly weapon.
The statement said Hodson pulled out a gun and shot at officers when he was spotted on South Roan and Maple streets in relation to a sexual assault case. He then ran to the 100 block of E Pine Street where he presented his weapon followed by shots by two officers hitting Hodson.
He was already in the Jonesborough jail for charges in an unrelated case.
