Fatality reported in Thursday Carters Valley Road accident

A crash leaves one person dead, one injured, and a toddler possibly injured. The crash happened at 4915 Carters Valley Road at 5:44 p.m. Thursday. There was only one vehicle involved in the crash, according to the THP, a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling south on Carters Valley Road, ran off the roadway and rolled. The Outlander came to a rest in a field. The passenger in the vehicle, 71 year old, Mildred Sherfey, reportedly died in the crash. The driver, 71 year old William Sherfey, was injured. Both were wearing a seatbelt. A three-year-old juvenile passenger with “possible injuries” was also in the car.
