BTES and TVA open new Bristol substation

Bristol Tennessee Essential Services and the Tennessee Valley Authority has opened a new substation in Bristol. Officials marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new power supply is designed to meet growing demand and to provide quality service with what officials say will be greater reliability, greater flexibility and greater resiliencies. It is also expected attract more industry to the region. The South Bristol substation is joining two others in service in Bluff City and Blountville.
