HCSO: Man arrested for Wednesday shooting death

The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a fatal shooting that happened early Wednesday. The sheriff’s office says the shooting was reported in the New Canton community during the early morning hours. Deputies discovered one male victim who was found deceased at the scene and an investigation led to one person of interest being identified. Authorities have identified the victim as 55 year old Jerry Michael Davidson. Authorities have arrested Christopher Caleb Mullins in connection to the shooting.
