Mendota Trail extension study gets community input

Community members provided input on the proposed Mendota Trail extension, linking the existing Mendota Trail parking area at I-81 to Cumberland Square Park. It came after the city received grant funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission and the Tobacco Revitalization Commission. The city is working on the possibilities for the trail, with multiple potential routes. The city hopes to have the study finished by the end of the year.
