BVPD completes 2 day interdiction project resulting in multiple arrests

The Bristol, Virginia Police Department completed a two-day interdiction project that resulted in the arrest of 19 individuals and 37 tickets issued. Bristol, VA Police along with the Virginia State Police and the Washington and Russell County Sheriff’s Offices targeted criminal activity on October 15 and 16 within the City of Bristol, VA. Officials reported numerous arrests and seizure of illegal narcotics and included 65 traffic stops, 37 tickets issued, 19 arrests and 11 felonies. The report also said a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine were seized.
