Senator Blackburn backs efforts to remove “Arctic Frost” provision in budget bill
U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn is backing efforts to remove a controversial provision in the new federal budget that would allow her and several other senators to sue the federal government for up to $500,000. The provision would let senators sue if their phone records were subpoenaed without their knowledge during the federal investigation into attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Tennessee Rep. John Rose criticized the measure, calling it a “cash grab” and urged Blackburn to reject it. Blackburn responded Wednesday on social media saying she supports repealing the provision.
