Speedway Children’s Charities announce record fundraising at Night of Smiles

The Bristol Motor Speedway Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities set a record fundraising amount for last year with organizers making the announcement at the charity’s Night of Smiles event. The charity raised $1,251,669 for children in need with the money to be distributed to more than 18 counties in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. This year marks the third year the organization has exceeded $1 million in fundraising. The press release said the new record sum is more than $22 million since the organization began in 1997. Night of Smiles kicks off the The Food City Speedway in Lights which opens Friday.
