Report: One of the two suspects the main gunman in Hamblen double homicide
A criminal complaint for Sunday’s fatal shooting in Hamblen County says only one of the teenagers charged with murder was the lone gunman in the deaths of two partygoers.
The report said surveillance video from inside and outside the Airbnb in Talbot showed 19-year-old Adam Perez, Jr. of White Pine shooting 16-year-old Jayden Bullard and 19-year-old Sal Vestal.
The other suspect, 19-year-old Wayne Trevathan of Sevierville, was armed but did not fire his weapon during the incident and he also provided transportation for the two. Police said one of the victims died at the scene while the other teen died at an area hospital. Published reports said investigators have already received a confession from the two about the Sunday shooting.
Perez and Trevathan are scheduled for a bond hearing on Friday.
