Bristol VA could receive money for new police vehicles if new bill becomes law
Congressman Morgan Griffith just announced that the City of Bristol, Virginia, will receive over $200,000 for police vehicles under the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2026 if the U.S. Senate approves the bill. A release from the congressman’s office said Police Vehicles for the City of Bristol, Virginia Project will allocate $294,800 for the new additions. If the bill becomes law, the money will come through the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2026. The bill is headed to the U.S. Senate for consideration.
