Greeneville man faces statutory rape and sexual battery by an authority figure charges

A Greeneville man is facing a statutory rape by an authority figure charge after an investigation by the White Pine Police Department. 48 year old Wesley A. Brobeck also faces a charge of sexual battery by an authority figure. On Friday, Freedom Fellowship Church of White Pine obtained information indicating Brobeck, its youth minister, had engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old. The church immediately fired Brobeck and told law enforcement. White Pine Police immediately started investigating, after which officers arrested Brobeck at his home on Saturday. Law enforcement took him to the Jefferson County Jail. Anyone with additional information related to the case is asked to contact the White Pine Police Department.
