Planned water outage in areas of Buchanan County Thursday

The Buchanan County Public Service Authority letting residents know about a planned water outage for upgrades that will impact customers Thursday. The outage will start at noon Thursday and continue through midnight beginning at the Forestry Department on Lovers Gap Road, continuing to Tractor Supply with side roads between the areas, including Leemaster, Deskins, and Dryfork. A boil water notice will be in effect for all impacted areas until further notice, once service is restored. The PSA said the outage could possibly spread to a large area, including from Tractor Supply to the mouth of Dismal River Road and up Route 460 and down to Peking Chinese Restaurant on Plaza Drive in Grundy, including all side roads areas.
