Buchanan County School Board votes to consolidate Council High with Southern Gap

The Buchanan County School Board voted for Council High School to join Southern Gap High School in this fall’s consolidation. The vote passed four to two. School board member Brian Looney made the motion to consolidate Council with Southern Gap. Principal Cooper said in the meeting that he will be able to incorporate any faculty who wants to go to Southern Gap into its classes.
