Owners of Kipkee the spotless giraffe release cause of death details
The owners of Kipkee, a rare giraffe born with no spots in 2023 in Washington County, Tennessee, released details on her cause of death following a necropsy at the University of Tennessee.
The report said Kipkee had been born with a condition that would not allow the full development of her liver, leaving the animal unable to break down food for nutrients and causing a quick decline in her health leading to her death in November.
The report from Bright’s Zoo said it was a condition that could not be corrected with surgery or prevented. Her birth created worldwide attention for the nearly three years she survived.
