Hawkins County may be headed for litigation from ExoticRidge crypto company
Potential legal issues remain in Hawkins County after county commissioners did not vote on a settlement allowing crypto company ExoticRidge to begin construction and operate in Bulls Gap. Hawkins County citizens applauded as no second was put forth, but this could mean legal trouble for the county. ExoticRidge met with the commission in an executive session in January when it presented its proposed settlement focused mainly on enforceable noise limitations. In a statement, ExoticRidge says it will most likely pursue litigation to be able to build it’s data center in the county, even in the face of a majority Hawkins County residents opposing the construction.
