Report: Online news site offers more details in Travis Turner saga
A spokesperson for the alleged victim’s family in the Travis Turner case in Big Stone Gap told a national publication that the fired football coach is accused of exchanging sexting photos with the 16-year-old student.
In a report in the US Sun, the spokesperson said the victim was allegedly interviewed by school administrators about the photos without contacting the teenager’s parents. The story also said a high-ranking Union official had investigated the incident as Turner possibly being catfished by someone.
The spokesperson said the alleged victim has been bullied by other Union High students after the case became public.
Turner, who was on the school system’s payroll three months after his disappearance and his official dismissal last month, is charged with five counts of possession of child sex material and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor. State Police and Wise County Public Schools had no comment on the allegations.
