Greeneville Police: Pedestrian injured in Saturday night incident
The Greeneville Police Department says that one person was injured following a crash involving a pedestrian Saturday night. The incident took place on Saturday at around 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of Tusculum Blvd. and East Grove St. The accident report says a pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway in an area that was not a designated crosswalk. A vehicle traveling east hit the pedestrian in the roadway. Police said the driver reported it was raining heavily. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital. Police said that two witnesses nearby reported that they did not believe the vehicle was speeding, and that the pedestrian walked into the travel lane.
