Garbage collection at Morristown households switching to four-day work weeks
Morristown officials hope the schedule change with public works crews garbage pick-ups four days a week will bring a cost savings with less overtime, more adjustments for holidays, the cost of fuel and having to hire extra help.
Workers will be adding color-coded stickers to waste cans in the coming days to the neighborhood routes that will be changed along with letters to households with a reminder.
The trash pick-ups will begin on their new schedule later this month.
