Washington County, VA Board of Supervisors member dies

Washington County, Virginia Board of Supervisor member Wayne Stevens Jr. passed away Friday afternoon in Meadowview. Stevens was a former firefighter and serving his third term on the Board of Supervisors. A new public safety building is also being built in Washington County named after Stevens. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday night from 5 to 8 p.m. at Frost Funeral Home. Flags are being flown at half staff until Stevens Jr. is buried on Wednesday.
