Deputy dismissed from force indicted for child porn in Sullivan County
A former Washington County Tennessee deputy, terminated by the force after allegations of child porn possession surfaced, turned himself in after an indictment by a grand jury.
Jacob Byrd, 27, was reportedly sharing hundreds of files depicting child sexual abuse on social media sites, according to a TBI report.
After reporting to the Sullivan County Jail, Byrd was issued a $50,000 bond after his arrest on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
