Police: East Tennessee man admits to horrific abuse of dog
An East Tennessee man is charged with aggravated animal cruelty when the suspect told police he shot a dog, cut its throat, then skinned the animal, cutting it up for food.
After a search warrant was served at the Cocke County property of 45-year-old Eddie McCoig II, a cooler containing the large dog’s remains with the paws still showing was found.
The dog’s owner had called police and reported McCoig’s actions prior to his arrest. Four other dogs were removed from the location.
