Bonnie Kate Theater in Elizabethton lights up with new marquee

The Bonnie Kate Theater held a ceremony Friday to celebrate its new marquee with loud cheers from a large crowd that had gathered on South Sycamore Street for the event. The Bonnie Kate will be 100 years old next year and reopened last year after a years-long renovation project. Upcoming events include a stage adaption of Steele Magnolias, and a movie series called “Americafest” which is a series of classic films that includes showings of Apollo 13, The Patriot and more.
