Traffic diverted on G Street in Elizabethton due to road repairs

Drivers in Elizabethton will notice road workers along G Street making repairs due to weather-related damages over the weekend.

A report from the city said the consistent rainfall resulted in a hole forming near storm drains between South Roan and South Watauga streets. The statement noted that the opening is not a sinkhole.

Westbound traffic will be diverted to the middle lane while workers complete repairs.
