Two people charged with first degree murder of vulnerable adult

Two people in Washington County, Tennessee, have been charged with first-degree murder after the death of a vulnerable adult. Charles Barnett and Tara Barnett were charged with the April 2025 death of Wendi Barnett. Charles and Tara Barnett are charged with First Degree Murder, Aggravated Abuse of an Elderly or Vulnerable Adult, and Aggravated Neglect of an Elderly or Vulnerable Adult.
