Coworkers: Father and son drown at Holden Beach

In Blowing Rock, North Carolina, workers at a town restaurant are being mourned after the two men, father and son, drowned near Holden Beach.

A report posted by the Town Tavern said the two were out swimming Sunday when Daniel Roberts, 46, began to struggle due to the undertow. His son, Dylan Roberts, 20, went to try and save his father when both men were swept under.

Published reports said medics’ attempts at CPR were unsuccessful.

A GoFundMe established to help the Roberts family is currently accepting donations.
