ETSU Bucs announce their starting QB for 2026

ETSU Head coach Will Healy announced after Saturday’s scrimmage that Louisville transfer Mason Mims will be the Buccaneers’ starting quarterback for the 2026 season. Mims is a redshirt freshman from Oxford, Alabama and joined ETSU this offseason after spending his first collegiate season at Louisville. The decision comes after Healy said that he wanted to have his starter in place by the end of the weekend. Mims will make his first collegiate start when the Bucs open the 2026 season hosting Campbell August 29 in Johnson City.
