Sullivan County could be one of only two US localities to vote on Flock cameras
If commissioners in Sullivan County follow the suggestion of Sheriff Jeff Cassidy, they could be one of only two locales in the United States to place the use of Flock cameras on a November referendum.
League City, Texas—a Houston suburb—voted 6-1 to let residents decide the fate of license plate readers.
Research published this month by the ACLU says 1 out of 10 license plates scanned by Flock cameras display the wrong state in their data.
A contract renewal or referendum approval will take place Thursday in Blountville.
