Kingsport man arrested after hitting police vehicle and crashing stolen car
A Kingsport man was arrested after reportedly clipping a deputy’s vehicle and crashing a stolen vehicle into several ditches. According to the Sullivan County Sheriffs Office, the driver was believed to have felony warrants, and a pursuit began when the driver refused to pull over. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Michael Poole of Kingsport, was taken into custody. Poole had felony warrants for his arrest out of Scott County, Virginia for violation of probation. The vehicle Poole was driving was also reportedly listed as stolen out of Scott County. In Sullivan County, Poole is charged with Evading arrest, Possession of stolen property, Possession of a Schedule II drug, and several moving violations.
