Strongly urged: University officials stress early arrival for Vols kickoff due to enhanced safety checks

Updates from the University of Tennessee suggest early arrival for Saturday’s noon kickoff at Neyland Stadium due to enhanced safety protocols being put in place for President Trump’s visit to Knoxville.

Secret service personnel will be stationed at each entrance before the Top 15 encounter between No. 14 Tennessee and No. 1 Texas. Portions of Knoxville’s highways, which average more than 200,000 vehicles per day, will come to a stop before and after the game to make way for Trump’s motorcade from Tyson McGhee Airport.

USA Today reports demand for tickets surged again once word broke of Trump’s visit, but the price of tickets left for the game has dropped by $100, with a final price of $376 per person.
