Ballad Health introduces new technology for survivors of sexual assault
Ballad Health is introducing new imaging technology to bring greater care and comfort to survivors of sexual assault. The healthcare system is rolling out the Cortexflo system, replacing standard digital cameras with highly secure forensic photography. The advanced system helps nurses clearly document hidden injuries using specialized lights and hands-free voice commands. By allowing patients to see their own injuries on screen, the technology provides a sense of empowerment during a difficult time. Seven of these encrypted systems are now active across the region, including four mobile units.
