Bond reduction denied for suspect accused of vehicular homicide in JC
A Johnson City judge has denied a bond reduction for Steven Kotsonis, keeping his bail set at five million dollars. Kotsonis faces multiple charges—including vehicular homicide, DUI, and three counts of vehicular assault—after allegedly losing control of an SUV and striking four pedestrians in a downtown parking lot on May 9th. One person was killed and three others were injured in the crash. Kotsonis has pleaded not guilty. While the state has turned over its evidence, the defense says it is still reviewing extensive video files. Both sides plan to call witnesses when Kotsonis returns to court on November 30th.
