Under cloud of hazing investigation, Farragut High head football coach resigns
A struggling high school football team in East Tennessee in recent years has seen their program targeted by a police investigation and their head coach resign in the last two days.
The superintendent of Knox County Schools confirms numerous players at Farragut High School are being interviewed for a hazing incident that occurred last week, and two players have already been arrested and charged with bullying.
Coach Geoff Courtney posted his resignation status on social media with no mention of the investigation. Courtney had losing seasons in his three years with the Admirals after replacing his father Eddie Courtney.
Thank you, Farragut — https://t.co/ssh64wCmNT
