Wason Center poll: One out of four Virginians surveyed said Biden’s election was not legit

In a survey of more than 1,000 Virginians, one out of four people said the election of President Joe Biden was not legitimate.

The poll conducted by Christopher Newport University’s Wason Center showed a majority of those questioned, 68 percent, said the election process for Biden was legal.

Virginians are optimistic about the future of the US post-pandemic with 67 percent of those residents looking forward to the rest of 2021. Just four years ago, only 16 percent of state voters said the country was headed in the right direction.

President Donald Trump did not receive high marks among participants with 54 percent indicating past presidents were better at their job than he was; 15 percent said he was one the best presidents in US history.
