University of Tennessee plans for full in-person learning for 2021 fall semester

The University of Tennessee Knoxville is planning for a traditional semester when classes begin this fall.
“Vaccines continue to rollout, case numbers are on the decline, and we can begin to see the end of this pandemic on the horizon,” said UTK Chancellor Donde Plowman.
Plowman made those remarks in a message to the UT community on Thursday, who says students can expect to see familiarity when the 2021 fall semester begins in August. This includes in-person teaching in classrooms at capacity, a return to normal campus housing, and reopening dining halls among other normal operating methods.
UT has shifted between completely remote learning and hybrid class offerings of online and face-to-face instruction throughout the ongoing pandemic.
