A true ‘Santa Special’ chugging into Erwin as cheery tribute to Erwin, Unicoi County

Several businesses and groups including CSX have made arrangements for a Santa Train stop exclusively for Erwin and Unicoi County residents on Nov. 21.

Americana hitmaker Drew Holcomb will be onboard and perform at the event that CSX executives insisted on presenting to provide holiday caring following the devastating flooding of September.

Gates will open at 5:30 that evening at the CSX Yard in Erwin and the free event begins at 6:30. Restaurant chain Chick-Fil-A will provide free chicken sandwiches to the first 5,000 guests.
