Fatality reported in rollover accident near exit 7 on I-81 Tuesday

One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 81 on Tuesday. Bristol, Virginia Police Department and fire department crews responded to a rollover crash on Interstate 81 northbound near exit 7. The vehicle was on fire when crews arrived. The driver was located and taken to Bristol Regional Medical Center. The passenger was found partially under the vehicle once the fire was brought under control, after apparently being ejected from the vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene. The Virginia State Police is assisting in the crash investigation.
