Buchanan County to receive state funds for recent floods

Senator Todd Pillion reports that the Virginia General Assembly has approved Buchanan County to be part of the $50 million Hurricane Helene state funding package. The county was added after floods struck parts of the county in February. Pillion said the final budget is approved by the governor, and he has until July 1 to sign the bill. Once approved, the funding will be similar to what was approved for similar floods in Buchanan County in the past.
