THP: one injured, one killed in weekend motorcycle crash

A motorcycle crash in Carter County has left one injured and one dead. The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday night. A Harley Davidson was traveling north bound on US 19E towards JD Whitehead Road when it ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a guard rail. THP says the motorcycle came to an uncontrolled rest on the right shoulder of the roadway. The driver, Robert Stewart, 52, was injured and his passenger Heather Stewart,42, was killed. Both were wearing helmets. No charges are pending.
