JC man charged with attempted rape and indecent exposure

A Johnson City man has been charged with attempted rape and indecent exposure. On May 11th, 48 year old, Daniel Whitaker, allegedly exposed himself to three people inside a car on Cherry Street just after midnight. Whitaker was also identified as being involved in another incident around that time, attempting to pull someone into a bush and remove their clothing. Whitaker was charged with one count of attempted rape and three counts of indecent exposure. Bond was set at $150,000. Whitakers next hearing happens June 18.
