David Crockett High girls basketball coach resigns

David Crockett High School is now looking for coaches for both of it’s basketball programs. Thomas Gouge told WJHL that he has resigned as the Lady Pioneers’ head coach. Gouge spent five seasons as coach and had an impressive 121-32. The team also won four-consecutive conference titles – two in the Big Five (2022-23) and two in the Upper Lakes Conference (2024-25). His coaching record also includes a pair of district titles in 2024 and 2025, as well as the Region 1 title this past season. Gouge was also named Conference Coach of the Year the past three seasons.
