JCFD: One person transported to hospital after weekend fire

The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in the 1700 block of Lone Oak Road Saturday just after 9:15 p.m. When crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from a condominium and contained the blaze to one unit. The fire was under control around 9:40.
A person from the residence was transported to an area hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains is under investigation.
