Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter beyond capacity/suspends intake

The Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter has had to suspend the intake of animals due to being beyond capacity. The shelter said in a post it has entered “crisis mode” due to the high volume of animals already in the facility’s care. The shelter said it will not take in any more animals until further notice. The post said area residents are urged to help by either adopting or fostering an animal, donating financially, donating supplies or by sharing the shelter’s post.
