Hampton man takes plea deal in child porn case

A Hampton man previously accused of uploading videos considered child sex abuse materials to the internet has been sentenced after taking a plea deal. Roy McClellan Jr. was arrested in October 2024 by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. An investigation stemmed from cyber tips and found that McClellan Jr. had uploaded multiple videos depicting prepubescent female children engaged in sexual acts. Monday, McClellan accepted a plea deal in Carter County Criminal Court. He pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and sentenced to eight years in prison.
