CCSO says 10 indicted on fentanyl trafficking charges

The Carter County Sheriff’s Office said 10 people were indicted on drug charges following an investigation targeting fentanyl trafficking in an operation called “Operation Blue Skies.” The investigation began in March, with the grand jury issuing indictments on Monday. All 10 individuals are facing drug charges including intent to distribute controlled substances. 2 individuals, 20 year old Noah William Cooper of Kingsport, considered to be the head of the illegal operation and 27 year old Dylan Lee Messer of Johnson City are in federal custody,
