Storm damage at Kingsport Speedway prompts cancellations

Storms damaged the Kingsport Speedway, canceling Friday’s race. The track office and concession sustained roof and water damage, and no power to the front stretch lighting. The speedway canceled Friday’s Balladeer Children’s Program Race Night but hopes to resume racing on Friday, July 18. Another event scheduled for Thursday was also canceled.
