Bristol captured suspect in Sullivan County ‘daylight burglar’ case

Bristol Virginia police have arrested a man that investigators say committed several daylight burglaries in residential areas of Sullivan County.

A Sheriff’s Office report said pictures of a possible suspect shown on their surveillance cameras were posted by property owners on Facebook. That resulted in Stephen Thompson, 38, of Honaker becoming the prime suspect.

After he was seen in Bristol, he was taken into custody. He’s charged in Sullivan County with aggravated burglary and aggravated criminal trespassing.
