Johnson County Sheriff’s Office arrest man on first degree murder charges

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man has been charged with first-degree murder following a shooting. 68 year old Freddie Ray Skeens of Mountain City has been charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence in connection with the death of Bob Stanley. Deputies responded to Stanley’s house Saturday where he was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound. Skeens was arrested and is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $1 million bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
