Demolition begins on Hampton High School football stadium

Demolition work has started on Hampton High School’s football field and concession stand after Hurricane Helene damage last September. Bleachers were removed Thursday. Officials say they are building a complete new stadium, hopefully with state-of-the-art features. Plans include a new field house and concession stand along with the new seating. Work is also ongoing on he high school and school leaders say the hope is to have students back to the school by January.
